There's a specific flavor of depression that hits late at night, when you're tired, but you can't sleep because you can't stop thinking about how much you hate yourself. This song is the only one I've heard that can capture that feeling.
I'm having one of those nights tonight. Thanks for helping me through it.

I know no one asked, but I feel the need to write this here for the sake of my own memory :)
at 4am on the night before i started high school, i listened to this song to help me fall asleep. the next year, on the night before sophomore year, i did the same; i did it again for junior year, and now, perhaps for the last time, im continuing the tradition. it feels weird to think this song came out so long ago, but im so grateful that it helped me get through four of my simultaneously dreariest and dreamiest nights. after all this time, now a senior, i feel ready to face the sun again, as soon as this dreamy night ends. <3

Lily's music is so soft and calming. I have a practical driving test in a few hours, and a pretty bad anxiety disorder, so I'm trying to keep myself as calm as possible. This is helping a lot. 3 hours to go. Wish me luck.
Edit: I passed! I dealt with the anxiety somewhat effectively, and I somehow passed. I'm super happy. This has been two years in the making, and I finally accomplished it.

no one will probably see this-ive held my silence, and i really have to let this out. thank you, lily. almost exactly 2 years ago i was listening to this song on spotify, alone in my dark, almost lifeless room. i was entering a new stage of my life; in a new college with no one to hang on to, no one to be with, and at the most bottom pit of my life. you saved me. thank you. so much. that one very night helped me to meet my wonderful gf, the hand that raised me :) thank you, lilypichu.
