I typed in the words "Where does the time go" not knowing I would end up here reading beautiful comments of encouragement despite the feeling of melancholy. I am torn wanting to treasure all the moments in the present and longing to know what will become. It is a struggle accepting those things we cannot change and seeing how we are all connected. Time is a measurement of distance from one point to another... when we remember, that distance is shortened and we can project ourselves in time and space. Blessings in disguise, the good and bad live on in our memories as love and lessons.

Here's a different one for you: I just came home from a mission from my church. I was supposed to serve for 18 months but it ended up only being 8 due to the whole COVID thing. I was in a rough patch. But I think I'll be okay now. God's got a plan and it'll all be good.

This really hit home today. Im in my final 3 weeks of high school and today one of our fellow students passed away of Cancer. The lyrics do make me reflect not only on how time has scarily flown by, but also about how it was cut all too short for our deceased friend. Thank you for this beautiful song, it really touched my heart.

i'm in my senior year of high school and this just made me really nostalgic in looking back over some of the beautiful moments i've had with my friends before we go our separate ways next year
edit: it's now september 2017 (10 months after originally posting this comment) and yep re-watching this has made me cry. most of my friends are going off to different uni's next year, and time really does escape you. to those still in school (or sixth form like i was) i know it's tough and trust me i cried most days from the stress, but it goes so quickly and before you know it you're saying goodbye to everything that was a constant and certain in your life. don't throw it away. we are (and i am) to young to keep looking back, because whenever we do that we stop living for now, and loose this time. anyway, that was longer than i was expecting lol. bye now

It is my senior year and this song just reminds me of everything that has a happened in my life as of now. I miss those times but I hope to look back on all these things and look at it with laughter and as times that made me what I will become. I hope to read this back in the future and know that all I desire came to life. As they said for now I just want to hold onto the moment I’m in. 🙂

I remember hearing this song in a restaurant almost 2 years ago. I wrote the lyrics on my palm and had to search for it. This song moved me.
