This animation took a month and my sanity, I'm not doing this again(maybe sometimes) I'm going back to making animatics. I used a different Techno design because it's fun to experiment a little bit, so I hope you like it (I just want an excuse to animate hair). It wont be my permanent because I also wanted to draw him in his original. His design is inspired by @figgyvevo and @meepbot2 on twitter. There are some scenes I wanna add but the song is too short and I'm lazy and tired.

I watch this now and see just how much things have changed, Technoblades death, Dreams face reveal, and yet, I can still say with certainty that this is undoubtedly the best animation I’ve ever watched. Just knowing how hard it is to animate something a few seconds long, this is an absolute masterpiece. Rest In Peace, Technoblade.

The storyboard value here is really something. Actions scenes are difficult to make, Minecraft duel subtleties are hard to convey, doing both at the same time while also nailing the mood, the energy, and even somehow kinda getting Dream face right pre face reveal is an incredible achievement.

maybe unintentional but a couple things i noticed
technos movements are almost heavy and in the moment, hes very aggressive while dreams are more swift and agile (this imo perfectly suits their personalities and playstyles)
technos kit consists of a fishing rod, sword and bow as you would in 1.8 and dreams uses 1.9 pvp items (a crossbow, shield and axe), techno can use dreams axe and shield probably symbolizing him beating dream in his own version
also dream cuts technos hair with his crown, and in every following sadist dsmp animation featuring techno his hair is shorter :D

After watching this tens of times, it is so appropriate that Techno's movements throughout the duel were so knightly whereas Dream's were agile. This depicts their personalities so well and its so cool to see it in an animation like this.
