Ed was INDEED a brilliant rhythm player ....He had such a sense of rhythm that he could intermittently go from mind boggling sound inventions into riffs & back again WITHOUT MISSING A BEAT....Just listen to his ONE take isolated guitar on the track 'BEAUTIFUL GIRLS' !
