The man’s memory loss kind of reminds me of a situation I faced about 40 or 50 years ago. My husband had just woken up from having surgery for Glioblastoma brain cancer. When I was finally allowed in to see me he didn’t have any idea who I was. This went on for nearly 2 days. He would look at me like he was scared or if he was puzzled who this strange woman was talking to him like he was supposed that she was his wife. Four years later he was dead at the age of 37 years. The cancer finally killed him. The was many years ago. I was only 29 years old when he died. We had 3 children A daughter 9, a daughter 7 and a 5 year old son. I never remarried. I’m now a 79 year old woman. Cancer got to me to about 13 years ago. Tongue cancer. The surgeons at MD Anderson worked miracles. They removed the cancerous part of my tongue, took skin off my left hip, grafted it on the left inside of my wrist and made me a substitute tongue. Due to radiation ☢️ treatments my teeth were ruined so I don’t have any teeth. I live with my oldest daughter and her husband. They take wonderful care of me. They blend all of my food for me since I’m unable to chew my food. I just swallow it. I eat lots of jello and soft things like that. However, I’m just thankful 🙏🏻to still be alive. If not for the successful surgery I probably would have been dead within a year or two.

Great suspense movie from the mid 80's.Richard Widmark is so old school and has such presence here.Havnt seen this movie since the 80's when first released on VHS.So worth a revisit.!.Thanks for posting.

I wonder if the inspiration for this plot was the John List case, where List was a New Jersey man who killed his entire family in 1971 and who had told everybody that the family would be leaving town so that he would have time to escape before the murders were discovered. By 1985 List had not yet been found or arrested. That wouldn't happen until 1989.

You can't always count on a movie being " great " because people say so ; what people like is subjective and varies from person to person , but the minute you see that the likes of Richard Witmark and Keith Carradine are in a picture you know that it is good .
