The nice thing about Japanese incense is that it produces very little smoke and the smell doesn't linger for too long. I order a whole bunch every now and then. It also makes for great gifts.

Yeah, they can be touristy, but, local markets are so much fun. It's like a "free" museum if you don't buy a ton of stuff.
