There were many highlights in this spot such as: seeing the DB 92 on HS1 freight move, a random two tone from the unrefurbished 3217/8, many crossovers (notice 374 drivers dimming their lights when passing other trains), and a very very rare sight of a 12 car 395 using the middle 2 pantographs rather than the normal two at the front & rear (and for the very few who saw my winter 2016 spot at Boxley Tunnel will know I did catch this rare sight before, but it was in the dark unfortunately).
TRAINS INCLUDED:
Eurostar Class 373 TGV TMST e300s & Class 374 Velaro e320s, Southeastern Class 395 Javelins and DB Class 92 (Yiwu-London Train livery) with HS1 freight.

Amazing how even thought the trains are travelling well over 150mph you can still hear the pops and zaps of the pantographs arcing as it rushes along!

As of 2021, this is the only dedicated high-speed rail line in a natively English-speaking country. The US has upgraded high-speed rail, but no dedicated lines as of 2021. The rest of the UK as of now also only has upgraded lines. Ireland, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia do not have high-speed rail.

That mate is a really cool video. Are you stood anywhere near Maidstone Services on the M20. Often drive that way heading to the coast and sometimes where HS1 and the M20 run parallel sometimes see the odd Javelin and Eurostar. Only briefly though as they’re going just a bit faster than me lol.
