Man, I think it's pretty ballsy to give players the choice to play as an RDA soldier, slaughtering the Na'vi. Even if they imply that it's the immoral choice, it's still a fully viable way to play and that's dope.

Funny how this and Peter Jackson's King Kong The Official Game of the Movie are surprisingly some of the few good games based on movies but unfortunately pushed aside and became underrated cus of it's movie influence. So it's nice to see this game getting some kind of expoture, even if you're not a huge fan of the movie, this is still a pretty damn good game to boot.

This game IS underrated especially since it's one of the few actually good games that ties in to the events of a movie while not being too overbearing. The Riddick games are also good examples of a video game tie-in to a movie IP that is pretty satisfying. Also, the RDA campaign is actually the canon decision considering you take part in the final battle against the Navi at the Well of Souls.

This game was amazing back in the day! Even the multiplayer was quite enjoyable, it was a glorious mess of Navi, Mechs and explosions

The movie license game X-Men Origins: Wolverine is arguably an underrated gem as well.

The open world is completely devoid of side content, there are no consequences for dying, and yet, I had such a blast playing this game back in the day. I sank a lot of hours into aimlessly wandering Pandora and shooting the fauna. XD

i was playing a lot of crappy games back on the 360, especially licensed ones, but this one was pretty good. repetitive and a bit clunky, but more ambitious than most tie ins. i kinda miss games like this nowadays...

I remember avidly playing this my junior year in high school, it was/is a surprisingly good and addicting game. Edit: to answer your question about "being shot from nowhere" there are actually human sniper perches in some of the missions (little dugouts which contain humans with precision rifles) Also one thing that separates the human and na'vi factions are how quickly you can gain spare lives. With the na'vi you can gain it by harvesting plant material while with the RDA you can only gain it as drops from defeated enemies. (you need to collect 10 pieces of material to gain one spare live with a total of 5 spare lives)

I remember being a kid in italy in the early 2000’s and not owning a ps3 or a 360. One day a classmate invited me to his place and he had a ps3 with this game, needless to say i was totally blown away and at that moment i got hooked to games for life. Prior to that my favorite game was metal slug, i used to play it in a neogeo cabinate they had at my dad’s favorite bar which also had a fishtank with live piranhas

Wow, I didn't realize 2008-2009 was such an amazing time for games. Yeah, looking back, we took it for granted. The fact that a 5/10 back then can be viewed as a 7/10 currently, says more about the current state of the industry than anything else.

I loved the 3rd person mech driving xbox game. What's really neat is that Cameron only added the mechs in the film after he saw them created in the videogame first.

It's just like how chronicles of Riddick was an under rated movie game. Loved that shit.

I played this game when it came out. I bought the Nvidia 3d vision 3d glasses and monitor to play it on. It was EPIC! The 3d gaming was 100x better than movie 3d! Had no idea stereoscopic gaming looked so good. Been gaming in 3d that way with 90% of my games ever since, and Avatar the game was the catalyst.

I remember there was a time my parents would buy me licensed games quite frequently, and as you can imagine the quality was always pretty poor. I still vividly remember getting this game from a rental shop in 2010 and LOVING it. i never did end up bringing it back! thanks for making this video!!
