Onslaught CAN become an amazingly replayable activity but Bungie has to give it the fuel it needs to do it. Some of you may have noticed the Balatro soundtrack in the back, the high you get out of getting some WILDLY STRONG set up is the reason to play. If Bungo can capture that feeling or give players the opportunity to get that, this will become one of my favorite modes and I am willing to bet one of yours as well. Like and share.

Imagine a triumph called “All I Got” and it’s to clear 500 waves of onslaught and you can order a shirt and the shirt you get says I cleared 500 waves of onslaught and all I got was this lousy t-shirt.

Style ratings in onslaught is something I DID NOT KNOW I NEEDED I can already see something on the side screen like Precision chain x5 Explosive kill x10 Aerial kill x7 BRRRRRRRRRRRRRR x150 (for holding down the trigger on a machine gun with uninterrupted fire)

Honestly instead of making a new seasonal activity every season I think they should pick a few genres and rotate between updating them. For example - Roguelike (The Coil) - Tower Defense (Onslaught) - Menagerie type mode (Dares) - Dungeon crawler (I.E a better Infinite Forest) - And a Horde mode (More like Cod zombies and not like Onslaught) Update 1-3 of them a season with either new loot, arenas or just variety and I think Destiny could survive off that.

i mentioned this on another video but it needs the atmosphere to hype up the rounds. have the sun set, become nighttime, start raining as the waves progress. have pyramid scales roam the skies more and more, have an enemy ketch fly overhead as demolitionists spawn in. the music should be surging by wave 50. there should be some distinguishing between round 30 and round 49 with the environmental hype.

Honestly feel like a perk system similar to cod zombies would be cool as well. Like what if for 5000 scrap, you could buy a perk that gives a permanently recharging void over shield. Or make it so uncharged melees can scorch combatants, or some other effects similar to aspect or exotic traits. Also, Easter eggs. If there ever comes an endless mode, having Easter eggs that can spawn special bosses with good loot drops on defeating it would be amazing!

One of the things I like about onslaught is the lack of champions, as an end game player its refreshing to see something be somewhat difficult without a reliance on champions. Like yeah they'll be 1 at the end of a wave but its just 1 and not 4 in a single room at the same time. I can use what I want and not have to worry about champions too much.

I think a good way to keep onslaught an major part of the game is to do 3 things 1: new maps and wave variety 2: have the activity focus on bringing back fan favorite loot each year. 3: introduce new mechanics along side other factions in the activity.

Mayhem Onslaught: You get super fast ability and super recharge rate, but every enemy is a mini boss or boss. Maybe more ammo crates spawning in every now and then, too?

If they added anything it should be more Shaxx lines, I'd lose my mind if I could hear Shaxx yelling so much he fainted. That's some of the best reasons to go for streaks in Crucible. Onslaught could be a really good playlist, they just have to use the time for it.

Put old artifact mods as rougulite modifiers. Imagine getting arc grenade recharge buff and switching my whole build over to a skip grenade build because of that modifier. Those old awesome artifact mods would be great for this.

Depending on the ending of TFS there could be ways to reuse Onslaught. 1. We help Caitl get Torobotl 2. The planets taken by the witness need to be controlled again and we need to make them safe like Helldivers/Warframe 3. Bring back other sunset gear with new perks. I see you looking at me Bygones, Breachlight, brother Vance you have my weapons from another timeliness? 4. Did you say take a ketch to other worlds with drifter leading the way? Retire and remake gambit. Those motes powered a trip back to the world he escaped among others. We need the motes to pay the nine for other worldly travel maps or something.

An interesting difficulty mode idea would be gradual unlocks of your build. Lock everything when it starts. Wave 1, all you have is your primary slot weapon. Wave 2, your first aspect starts working, wave 3, you get your secondary slot, wave 4, your first fragment starts working, wave 5, you get your super, wave 6, mods in your helmet start functioning, etc... You have to build your loadout with intention. Now it matters which aspect you pick first, what order your fragments are are in, and weapon selection becomes a BIG deal. You'll need to coordinate with your team to make sure that you cover champion types. No more swapping loadouts before bosses.

The Balatro soundtrack goes CRAZY! I love it! Speaking of Roguelikes, if Onslaught were to go down that route (especially if they make an Endless Onslaught version), some of the possible buffs could be fundamentally game-breaking in a good way. Imagine giving every gun the ability to overpenetrate enemies and ricochet off surfaces, much like Seraph Rounds, or guns matching your subclass have the ability to proc subclass abilities, such as strand weapons being able to passive inflict sever, unravel, and create hatchlings while firing. Let's get REALLY crazy with the ideas.
