HOW TO LUCID DREAM:    • How To Lucid Dream Tonight For Beginn...

Meditation reduces stress, improves mental health, enhances self-awareness, lengthens your attention span, improves sleep... there's many benefits. Meditation will also boost your dream recall and strengthen your ability to control things inside of dreams, which is really important if you’re serious about lucid dreaming. Even if you don't want to lucid dream, meditation is a great thing to practice and you should try it.

Something that I find really cool about meditation is that you can do it anywhere, and you don’t need any equipment to get started. There are many different ways to meditate, but this video goes over one of the BEST meditation routines for lucid dreaming.

The best time to meditate is right before you go to sleep. Once you’re comfortable and once you’ve gotten rid of every distraction, sit upright on your bed and close your eyes. Then, follow the meditation technique shown in this video and you'll increase the chances of experiencing a lucid dream. You may even slip directly into one!

1: Sit up (or lay down if you like). Close your eyes and focus on your breathing. 2: Make sure your mind is cleared, and you’re only focusing on breathing. 3: Do this for 5-10 minutes. 4: After this, visualize the place you want to have your lucid dream in. BUT, only focus on the noises of the place. (Ex., If you imagine a big city, picture the sound of car horns and people and stuff). 5: Then, slowly open you IMAGINARY eyes and picture how the place will look like. Be sort of enhanced in it and be walking around and stuff. It shouldn’t even feel like you’re in bed. Do this for a few minutes. 6: When you’re ready, slowly open your REAL eyes, and then you’re done, and you are ready to sleep! Note, you might accidentally fall straight into a dream, but remember to get lucid with a reality check.

Last night I had my first lucid dream...sort of. It was my fourth night of trying to lucid dream, but I decided to only use meditation and no other techniques. The weird thing is that the lucid dream kept fading into reality and back into the dream. Once even my sister tapped me on the shoulder to wake me up, but I told her to go away and that I was lucid dreaming. The thing is, that 'reality' was still part of the dream. So I thought that half of the dream was reality, while in the other half I was lucid. So yeah, that's my weird experience.
