People don't realize the 1st Marine Division adopted Waltzing Matilda as the official March after regrouping in Australia after Guadalcanal.

So, the 10th Anniversary of this particular performance in only 6 months and 2 days away!! I am a PROUD VETERAN of the United States Navy. I guess I am too proud because I just watched it for the 3rd time in the 90 minutes and I end up with tears running down my cheeks ๐Ÿ˜ข๐Ÿ˜‚ They are REAL TEARS TOO. I guess the older I get, the more sentimental I get. GOD BLESS ALL VETERANS, CURRENT,PRESENT, AND PAST, AND THEIR ENTIRE FAMILIES. ESPECIALLY REMEMBER THIS: ALL GAVE SOME, AND SOME GAVE ALL! I ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป for the ones who had to pay all. I pray that their Sons, Wives, Husbands, their children, and their significant others, that they are living a full and happy life. This got a little long but, I am just SO DAMNED PROUD OF OUR ARMED FORCES!!!

The flute solo by the Corporal was top notch. Professional, enthusiastic and all the time maintaining the highest Military Decorum that Marines have come to be known for.

When I was in elementary school each morning we stood at our desks placed our right hand over our heart and together we pledged the flag of allegiance and closed with โ€œand justice for all AMEN.โ€

Got a bit of dust in both my eyes? The Marine at the top dead center usually runs the flag retreat for the Disney security detail and is one squared away dude! He is the one guy I seek out every visit shake his hand and thank him. His pride, excitement, and commitment to his current job and his Corp is above reproach. I see people stand taller and with more confidence when he is around. Truly a world class act.

As an Aussie I love the tunes of the armed forces. You may already know that some of the Aussie Rules teams use some as their team song. Itโ€™s is wonderful to hear them. May God keep all of the me and women of the forces safe.

I grew up saying the pledge of allegiance and the Lordโ€™s Prayer every morning as it was played through out our schools over the intercom. Iโ€™ve traveled the world and visited many nations and seen some beautiful cultures. The one closets to my heart will always be The United States of America. God blessed me the day I was born in this great country.
