anyone else interpret this song as a couple who find each other everytime they reincarnate and the furrowed brow the singer mentions is something that sticks with their partner every reincarnation and that their last reincarnation was a very poor one and that the universe tries to split them up every reincarnation
idk I just like doomed narratives

this song completely describes me and my best friend, actually ex best friend. We had a codependency relationship so i think it was for the better, im feeling much better so i think it was for the best, but i still miss her, i wish we could be friends again now that we are much healthier emotionally, she was my best friend for 4 years after all, but its okay i dont cry about that anymore

I steal a few breaths
From the world for a minute
And then I'll be nothing forever
And all of my memories
And all of the things I have seen
Will be gone
With my eyes with my body with me
But me and my husband
We're doing better
It's always been just him and me
Together
So I bet all I have on that
Furrowed brow
And at least in this lifetime
We're sticking together
Me and my husband
We're sticking together
And I am the idiot with the painted face
In the corner, taking up space
But when he walks in, I am loved, I am loved
Me and my husband
We're doing better
It's always been just him and me
Together
So I bet all I have on that
Furrowed brow
And at least in this lifetime
We're sticking together
Me and my husband
We're sticking together
Me and my husband
We're doing better

i have 2 ways to imagine this song : 1. a wholesome song of a woman and her husband, and her husband knows that she's insecure of herself and always make her feel better. 2. a song about a woman who are abused by her husband and she's dying from it, and she's been brainwashed into thinking that this is her fault or that something like this is normalized.
