The R211 is the newest NYC Transit subway car. It features digital displays, LED destination signs, dedicated space for wheelchairs, and doors that light up green when they're opening and red when they're closing. It was built by famed manufacturer Kawasaki. The R211s will replace the R44s on the Staten Island Railway and the iconic R46.
