Today here in Holland we had a nationwide train breakdown which coused hundreds of people having to wait for hours and when the system was finally back up, all those people to get stuck in a single train and to have to help each other het home etc. For the first time in what seems like my whole life it felt like other people were actual persons instead of awkward things to avoid. The all of the trains and stations were filled with conversation and connection, like i had never steen before. It was a nice reminder we are all in this together.

Bruh I know what you mean. I loved exiting out of the exam room right after days and hours of studying for my orgo chem. The nice cold wind at night, arguments about the correct answers, frustration with friends, and planning on a place to eat are the best feeling. It felt like nothing mattered and we conquered our fears, regardless whether or not we did well on that exam. It shouldn't feel nostalgic, but I felt a connection with everyone that day.

This channel definitely had a huge impact on me. I started reading Nietzsche and Jung and others because of your videos and went from and anxious husk of a person to a Teenage edge lord in no time. Now Im in a music conservatoire trying to find my place in the world, but after being alone for so long, meeting people and and socialising feels very alien.

5:24 Yeah I remember during class, I would open google news all the time, just read the headlines because that was what made the school day go by. Slowing seeing more articles about the soon to be pandemic was surreal in retrospect.

For me I thought the pandemic would give me time to reflect and relax and it was like that for a bit but then online classes came and it was almost like I was at college again except I was at home with my family and no friends. Almost all the stress of college with no benefits. So I feel like that was very forced, like the system couldn't allow for such a stop to occur and tried to fix it with online classes which I think resulted in poorer education in the end but it is what it is.

I've just developed a habit of drinking everyday. Life was definitely more enjoyable pre-pandemic for me. After the first few months, I was just wondering when it would all end and things would go back to the way they were before. I think I see now though that it's never going to back to the way things were pre-pandemic.

This pandemic is a pretty good sequel to the 1918 flu, it didn't have a strong storyline like the first one but it did have a cast of good characters like Trump, Xi Jinping, Bolsenaro, and Boris. I have to admit, I wouldn't recommend it though. There are other pandemics that are more worth the cost, but this one might be worth a try if you manage to get it on sale.
6/10 pandemic.

I think it is interesting the diversity of experience during the pandemic. Being deemed essential, we kept working and I traveled throughout that first summer for work. The roads were empty and places weren't crowded which was pleasant for me as an introvert. Socially all we changed was more bbq and outdoor hangouts. The fear of the pandemic dwindled over those first couple months as we all resigned ourselves to getting it. We traveled, we worked, and we were around others that did the same. A few people ended up getting sick and took time to recover, myself I had it and never even had a fever. Then all the lockdown people started coming back and it was miserable, they had been stuck in the fear we left behind that first couple months. They destroyed the processes we had in place that had been tried and tested. They were mad because we didn't share their fear. It was a frustrating time.

Im really liking the direction youre taking the channel right now. Always loved your videos, but your last few uptades just seem way more personal and relatable. Cheers from Brazil! Keep up with the great work :)
