Hey guys, so I need to make 2 corrections: 1) Brunei’s GDP per capita is ACTUALLY closer to $30,000 2) North Korea also doesn’t have a Pizza Hut go check out the video that inspired this one! (Credit to "State of the World") https://youtu.be/A6-hPj5MAX8

Bonus fact: the northernmost tip of Ireland is north of northern Ireland Bonus fact 2: Alaska is the westernmost, easternmost, and northernmost state. Bonus fact 3: if you count unrecognized borders (AKA claims), France's longest border is with Australia (Antarctica)

As a Welsh person, I would like to start a petition to add the Welsh dragon to the Union Flag. You cannot tell me that wouldn't look a million times better

The fact that half of these were in my textbooks show that I was being fed useless knowledge 50% of the time

I was surprised by the fact that there are more than 20 000 castles here in germany. But them i realised that i'm living basically next to a castle myself and that this castle is pretty small and then i thought that probably most of those castles are so small and then it all made sense again.

“The Netherlands is the tallest country in the world” Makes sense it was in people category and not geography

The reason Nauru is like that is because of one word, phosphate. Ninety percent of the island is covered with phosphate deposits (because of all the seabirds that stopped there before continuing their crossings) that were mined to the point it's non-arable. This phosphate actually made Nauru the richest country in the 80s, but the industry collapsed in 2002, quickly making them one of the poorest and having to rely on Australia who they made an agreement with to get aid in return for housing Australia's asylum seekers in a detention facility. And because Nauru has an airport that they were forced to build by the Japanese, they can easily get canned goods in. That aside, love how Monaco is so small that a freakin' MARINA makes up a part of the country shape

Imagine using the Zimbabwe 100 trillion dollar bill for a single bottle of water. Now imagine the pain of the cashier having to find your change.
