Edit to clarify : I wrote this comment to cheer up all the people who are sharing their "not very good" relationship with their own father/genitor. I wanted them to know that they are loved by someone out there, by a relative or an artist who is showing his appreciation for his crowd (and making jokes with said crowd).
I myself do not view Dallon Weekes as a father, I just like his music how he acts online. Always keep in mind artists, musicians, content creators... do not know you and respect their boundaries :) And try to stay away from creepy behaviors.

My dad is a musician and toured and was gone a lot so I totally understand where his family is coming from and this song does an amazing job expressing those feelings. Fortunately for Dallon’s family, he is a strong, loving, and supportive father. My father is not. This song pretty much represents the dad I wanted when I was growing up and although it’s a great song, it’s really hard for me to listen to. I’m glad Dallon’s children are able to experience the love and support from their father, even though he can’t be there all the time
