I really appreciate you and your channel, Pastor Matthew! Recently, my own church has slowly transitioned from being Reformed Baptist to a Presbyterian one; we are unsure of which particular denomination to become a part of, but doubtless our God will help us choose the one for us.

I do the same thing on my channel, Matt. It really is importantāpeople need pastors. I answer appropriately pastoral questions only when they are very specific to my niche, requiring technical knowledge of certain issues and debates. Excited to see the JESB!

As a pastor of a local church, I appreciate your heartfelt encouragement for folks to come to their pastors--it's a good and necessary word! I and a few other pastors in the area were just discussing this morning the challenges of people who rely too heavily on online platforms.

Matthew, I want to offer encouragement that the first part of this video is indicative of someone who has gained an internet following. For context, Apologia Studios had to put out a similar disclaimer on their content years ago. Take heart that you are gaining a following and the pseudo pastoral role is a negative consequence of it. having said that, I am very glad to see you shy away from that role rather than lean into it in order to gain a larger following, which is the temptation of some.
Folks need their own flesh and blood church family locally. No internet pastor can substitute for that.
Been following you since I was a Reformed baptist several years ago, since then I have become an OPC Presbyterian (still love my conservative PCA brethren) and find your content even more helpful.
