This is going to sound totally stupid, but this song reminds me of my dog.
It makes me cry because I've suffered with depression and anxiety since 6th grade, and I'll be a junior in high school in the fall. I've been through a lot in that timeframe, and my dog has always been there to comfort me. He was one of the only ones to stick by my side, and I can honestly say that he was one of the only reasons that I decided to keep living. And every time I feel alone or upset, I can always count on him to make me feel better.

This song always makes me think of my fiance. I don't feel like he "saved me", but I do feel like his patience and support helped me save myself when I needed it. He never gave up on me even when things were difficult, and still doesn't today. Been together almost ten years and still counting :)
