Practicing mindfulness is one of the best things I've done to simplify my life. And the cool thing is that mindfulness isn't difficult or complicated at all! It's very simple, and anyone can practice with it. So today, I will share with you my mindfulness tips for beginners and everything you need to know to simplify your life with mindfulness.

For me, mindfulness has definitely helped when it comes to my mental health, reducing stress and anxiety, and regulating my emotions during difficult times in my life. It also helps me to appreciate and savor the little pleasures in life, which is one of my favorite things. These easy mindfulness techniques are what I personally also do, so I hope they'll help for you too!

Little disclaimer. I made this video as someone who's interested in mindfulness, sharing my own personal experiences with it. I'm not a professional and I didn't receive any formal training. If you are experiencing anything having to with your (mental) health, definitely see a professional.

Lots of love,
đŸŒŒ Vera

Living with less clutter & being more mindful has made a big difference. Feeling calm is priceless.

When doing unpleasant tasks I find it helpful to take the mindfulness to thankfulness. Instead of being annoyed to clean the kitchen, I try to be thankful for having a kitchen and food to use dishes for. Or a floor to clean, meaning having a home to keep us dry and warm. I®m not exactly sure if that IS mindfulness but maybe taking charge of your emotions and turning them to a more positive thinking is also mindful and aware. Thanks, Vera, for another thoughtful video. I really appreciate you and look forward all week to your next video. 😃

I love mindfulness. I sometimes struggle since permanently loosing my sense of smell and taste. And struggling with hypersensitivity to lights and sounds. Trying really hard to be grateful of the senses I have instead of the ones I lost. ❀

Great video, thank you! Regarding multi-tasking, which I've never been a fan of ..... a few years ago, in the states, some agency did a big, nation-wide study on multi-tasking in an office-setting. They discovered that workers in an office setting who were multi-tasking, had accomplished 34% LESS by the end of the day, and made MORE mistakes, than the workers who did one thing at a time. Don't know how they figure out this stuff, but it makes sense to me! So here's to doing one thing a a time (for me at home, anyway)! ❀

One of my therapist's speciality is mindfulness and I find it to be beneficial even though it can be hard to keep it in mind from time to time. To me, mindfulness is something to practice every day because I notice that it is when I stop being mindful (most of the time it's like: "I'm feeling good now, I don't need to be that into these mindfulness exercises" etc) then I become less and less mindful. Mindfulness helps me stop overthinking what other people might think, the "secret meaning" behind their speech, etc. I now have this "only caring about what is actually here". I hope we can all work on being mindful and living peacefully and simply. Have a nice day Vera! đŸ„°

This is something I need to practice daily. I struggle with past pain and listening to what others have to say that is important. My mind wonders and I can easily be distracted by situation that happen in my head. Made up stories, thoughts and conversation that make me cry or feel some way where I end up shutting down n won’t talk to anyone. It’s crazy how I never think just to be mindfulness with everything and learning to understand it is possible. I want to be mindfulness.

Thank you so much for this video! I practise mindfulness since about ten years now, and the hardest part is letting go of my phone games when I feel bored. :) The thing I did when I was really annoyed about house cleaning was to use a stopwatch and measure the time some chores really took. I hated housework because I thought it SO time-comsuming. And using a watch showed me it was not. That was an eye-opener. Now I just do those things thinking about nothing else but doing them, and enjoy the nice feeling of a tidy place and cat-litter-free floores. The type of meditation that works best for me when I am home and have our cats arount I call cat-itation. When I'm upset or anxious ot stressed, I sit down and just watch the cats play or sleep, or touch them and listen to them purr for a while. It works perfectly for me.

I started using my phone in a gray-scale mode. It really makes everything less 'attention catching' and 'triggering'. Plus it makes me want to put my phone away more. Thank you for your tips, I think by aiming to do just 1 thing a day mindfully takes this pressure away of having to be mindful at all times, which is not possible. I will try to practice mindfulness a little bit more each day now.

Such a great explanation of mindfulness 😊 I often struggle with the clutter in my mind and the thought of regarding these as trains and not getting on them is a brilliant idea, which I will try.

1. Mind won't shut up. I asked my therapist if there was a step I was missing or just needed to practice more to shut out the distractions that were pulling me out of my meditation like practice. He tested me for adhd and found I had a severe case that went undiagnosed for 42 years because it's primarily inattention and impulsive emotions. Because I was a human sponge as a kid, my grades never suffered, and I had a set routine my mother set as a kid (get home, feed and give attention to outside dog, get snack, do homework, dinner, evening relax after all homework was done). I worked quickly so it was less noticeable when my attention span ran out. So if the struggle continues without improvement, it might be worth a few minutes being tested to see if it's something that needs assistance changing. I know the meds have helped me greatly over the last month, and not just in being more mindful in my day.

When I come across the feelings of doing mindfulness wrong, I have to remind myself that sometimes it just doesn’t click and you just have to find a different way - having a handful of tricks, I call it my “emotional toolbox” - is helpful so that if one approach doesn’t work, I can try something else. Be good to yourselves some days are more challenging some days are easy. simply showing up is always the first step. Be well❀
