Showing my age... I listened to this on my CD Discman that I had to hold aloft out of the water as I waded out into the sea in a secluded bay on Grand Bahama on my 25th birthday. I was alone & very happy to be alone. A glorious memory that I recall fully every time I listen to this track (for anyone wondering... I'm now 45)

Royksopp uses microtones which are parts of an octave broken down into 22 similar but unequal parts. Commonly used in Indian music, microtones when used well sound slightly out of tune and give the music a really cool sound. Around the 3:00 and 3:15 mark is a good example. Microtones are almost never used in Western music. So cool!!!!
