A land invasion of Crimea seems pretty unlikely, at least this year. A safer approach would be to besiege the peninsula. Cut off the land bridge by pushing to the Sea of Azov to split the regions of Russian control in two, then use those forward positions near Berdiansk to completely disable the Kerch Strait bridge. If Ukraine can completely cut both primary logistics lines to Crimea, Russian forces won't be able to hold the peninsula indefinitely.

A more likely option may be Ukraine besieging the peninsula, severing the land connection and permanently destroying the Crimean Bridge. This would force Putin to either evacuate civilians from the entire peninsula (a PR disaster) or supply 3+ million people by air and sea, greatly impacting the already overstretched Russian supply line. Then, by keeping Russian troops permanently pinned in Crimea, conduct offensives elsewhere

The only permanent land route is a 10 km wide isthmus, which narrows down further into a collection of narrower isthmuses (thanks to a few lakes), the largest of which and only one with a highway having a town of 26k people situated in the center. Add to that the only other path across tidal flats and lakes, you have yourself a military planners worst nightmare
