Why would we buy a beret for 7$ when we can make one for 60?? 😂

I am so with you on comfortable costumes. Never liked dressing in costumes as a child for that reason. Love your hat.

I think that yarn you have would look fabulous in the Poetisa pattern. This was a very fun ramble

Tip for when your knitting a beret . When you need to block it use a plate to dry it on ! My grandma taught me to do it. It makes blocking so much easier.

How fun! I got a beret knitting book at the thrift store the other day for only 50 cents 😍 but I’m yet to knit my first beret from that book 👩🏻‍🎨

I am feeling some kismet here as I just crocheted my first beret🎉I found it was the simplest hat to work up. Great for quick gift making!

Please make yourself a beret in that mustard gold colour you had on your board. I think it would be an amazing pop of colour in your wardrobe

I created a crochet pattern years ago that has been my go to for a beret, I had never considered knitting one. Thanks for sharing those!

Thanks so much! I knit a bunch of berets last winter and it's interesting to see how people wear them and could actually create a photo essay of its own. Sometimes you just want to reach through and adjust one that could have been worn less nerdy, but oh the fun of wearing them. Love your pattern selections. Personally, I think it's the best hat style ever.

I have a beret that was knitted for me called the Phryne beret after the style of beret worn by the title character of miss fisher’s murder mysteries. I think it’s still on ravelry. I also have the Rembrandt beret by fabel knitwear in my to knit pile.
