"We shouldnt expect more because we already have classic+" ok, then dont expect another expansion because you already have 10+ expansions.. dont expect new mounts, new story, new ANYTHING because you already have it. dont expect player housing cause you already have garrisons.
These people are coping hard. and have never played any other game, let alone other version of wow besides retail, and it shows.
its also been in my experience that the majority of new players have 0 respect for warcraft 1/2/3 and the original wow variations as they all started in mists / wod + and love the fact that its turning into palia, rather thn keeping to the WARCRAFT environment.
SoD as just a fun, temporary season is FINE. its a simulation of new, quirky mechanics similar to how ascension and hour of twilight private servers play. but its NOT vanilla+

Blizzard has a serious problem with resource allocation, creativity and ability to make the most out of the limited resources they are given, or in other words simply competence. SoD and all other versions of Classic are a prime example of that.
It is quite obvious at this point that the Classic team is completely starved of resources because of the policies in place at the company right now, however that is not an excuse for the extremely bad quality of the content we're seeing in SoD. A truly competent development team, even one that is lacking resources, would NEVER come up with something as bad as incursions. And thats only one of the many problems, the list goes on and on.
It seems that SoD has an identity crisis, the people in charge of it have no clear vision for the game and are incapable of producing anything unique that would fit the spirit of vanilla WoW and thats why with each new phase SoD is starting to look more and more like a "Retail minus" type of game instead of "Classic plus".
It was interesting seeing your thoughts, I honestly didn't expect you to last as long as you did considering how bad SoD is.

Not usually one to write comments, but as someone who is relatively new to raiding in WoW (mainly leveled and did dungeons with friends when 2019 classic dropped, played on a Wrath private server, etc), from my perspective, SoD was a really great thing for me and many others I know playing it. With how they initially approached the leveling experience, being way shorter to get to the point where you could play the end phase content, with newer abilities and things they introduced bringing, in my opinion, a nice added flavor to classes. I think beyond around early P2, the botting problem I encountered was extremely minimal, although I always thought sites like Reddit, as they do, blew a lot of the problems out of proportion (I do play on a smaller server in Europe though, so that might be why). As previously said, as someone who has never delved deep into MMOs besides playing with a small group of friends, finding a real community I could be a part of within a game, doing things in and out of the game, has been some of the most fun I have ever had in a game, (hell, I ended up going on a stag do with a guildie i met within SoD lmao) and in general, comparing to private servers and Wrath Classic, the community in general has always been way more enjoyable to play with.
That being said, I definitely don't think SoD has done everything perfect. The STV PvP was fun to start with, when people hadn't figured out playing by the boss gave you bonus blood, hopping on with a 5 stack roaming around STV was hella fun, but as people figured out to play around the boss, a lot of the spawns became such a drag to play, especially for non-casters. Although I think this is fixed now, throughout all of P2, BGs had been completely neutered if you were a soloq player, as the rep rewards for doing an STV far exceeded those of queuing a BG normally, which was a shame, as for me, AB always seemed more fun than running WSG and STVs off cooldown (but maybe that's because I did 2 collective exalted farms in the span of a few days lol).
While I think for some classes, the addition of new runes have been really fun, with people pushing over Naxx numbers at 50, the power creep is definitely way too much, especially from looking back at original classic (someone can correct me if I'm wrong as I never raided in OG classic) where the difficulty hasn't really increased at all, and the player base seems to want that, I mean look at how they completely gutted the challenge of ST. Class balancing has seemed to be an issue throughout, although I don't really expect every class to be winners, there's always going to be those that perform the best and worst, but looking at right now in P3, comparing to original vanilla, not a whole lot has changed in terms of that viability, aside from a few outliers.
Incursions I think, while it was nice to level super fast and earn a ton of gold whilst doing so, it being so much better than any other form of leveling, whilst being so monotonous, is a massive oversight by the dev team, I think if its your first time leveling a character there, it completely takes out the fun of discovering the world and doing the quests, maybe it should be an option on par with other methods for those who have already leveled a character, but it seems to me to have completely killed the "MMOness", although for those who want to level efficiently, as I enjoy to do, there will always be dungeon spammers and mage boosters to get you there.
Overall, I so far have quite enjoyed SoD as a newer player wanting to try and fully experience classic, and I will try and continue to play until it concludes, however, it certainly has problems which could become a massive deal I think if not addressed. The experimental nature of it has definitely become more apparent overtime I feel, which I think can be both a good and bad thing.
Thank you for coming to my Ted talk!

Sounds like those praising comments are coming from blizzard bots XD As it was very very VERY obvious to me whomever designed SOD has not taken any classes in game development. they dont apply the KISS rule requiring an addon to do incursions. many other basic rules in game dev have been ignored. I'd love to hear PirateSoftware go over all the things they f'd up dev wise to show its a completely unexperienced zoomer team that created this dog vomit.
