Lofi girl will be a symbol of a generation of college students around the world and i’m so grateful I get to experience it. No matter what bs each of us faces in the world there will always be this calm place to vibe, to enjoy the moment and to accompany us as we are studying, or gaming, or working on a project. I just finished my last exam for my master’s degree, and I have nothing left to work on or worry about. My entire graduate school experience can be accredited to this video. I have listened to this umpteen times over many a sleepless night. Though, I’m listening to it currently as a kind of ending credits, and its surreal how peaceful this space is now. Well, I suppose 4am lofi will have to be next. Law school here we come! Study on everyone…but get some sleep too, this too shall pass. (Pun intended 😉)

Its 4 AM and I would like to say that I have completed my Geography syllabus for my upcoming finals. For those of you who feel like the can't go on, think about the end and why you're studying. You're studying to make yourself proud and that you can enjoy later on.

Have you ever wondered why Lofi Girl makes studying much more interesting and better? Of course it's the lofi beats, but the real reason behind them affecting our brain is that they increase Dopamine and Serotonin to improve mood, while simultaneously reducing Cortisol, a stress hormone, in simple terms the beats make us relaxed, and while we're relaxed, the brain works much more smoother and has a better way to get things in! (like your formulas, and any other stuff you're trying to remember). This was the actual reason why it makes us study more! (I know it's boring but not with Lofi music :3).

To everyone who's studying with this music:
Checklist:
• A bottle of water, at least 1liter. Your brain works better if it has enough water and drinking helps you to concentrate💧
• Your charger. You sometimes don't even notice that your device's battery is going down, so better have it plugged in all the time🔋
• Your headphones. You will be able to focus more with headphones, because it blocks background noises. Also, if it's a late night study session, you won't wake up anyone🎧
• a tea or coffee. Coffee keeps you awake, green or black tea can make you feel more awake as well.☕
• Your study/work stuff: your laptop/tablet/phone , a few pens, paper or whatever you need.⌨️
•Anything else you could need, what about a heat pad, a blanket, a good lamp, your pet so you have a study buddy 🐈
Reminder:After an hour, you should stand up and walk a bit around. Better stop the music or put on different music for the break. Open your window, even if it's cold outside. Fresh air will make it better, trust me.
You could also lay your head down on your desk for ten minutes and listen to a podcast. Or, if you have to read a book, listen to the audiobook of it. You can also listen to the audiobook while doing another thing, that's even better than listening to music while reading the book.

This sounds dumb but when it's finally nighttime, I feel like the whole world is asleep and I am the only one awake. It's so quiet and all the stress that I had to deal with during the day gets put on paused until morning. So for that short period of time between nightfall and sunrise, everything is calm and peaceful. I don't have to worry about people relying on me that exact second, I can just relax and breathe.
