Hasan literally has to deal with 1. people who don’t believe women and have a slant that women only lie. 2. People who feel slighted by having their favorite content creator being called bad. 3. Sytzos that don’t know not to troll in these situations. 4. Drama baiters who treat crime like it’s drama. 5. People Who just want to cancel him because they don’t like him. And 6. People who think that the top of the hour ad break isn’t coming, but seriously it’s seems like there are more people who are angry with hasan than the actual situation.

The first woman asking for money may not reflect good on her but it doesn't change what Andrew did to her in the end.

I mean even if she's exploiting a traumatic event for her own gain, it doesn't negate what he did and the trauma she experienced. Two wrongs don't make a right. Ultimately if he violated her consent then he's just a bad dude

And just like that you can see how quickly the comments turned. One person exploiting her traumatic moment at the hands of Andrew does not wash away all the other allegations. Guys get so quick to villify someone who was abused. I don't think she should have asked for money but at the same time that action doesn't absolve Andrew's actions.

Controversial opinion (reinforced by our legal system) survivors of SA are LEGALLY ENTITLED to compensation for the physical and emotional injury their abuser caused. Survivors lose work, have to consult lawyers, get treatment. Their suffering does not come at no cost.

I know someone who disregarded accusations of assault during a court case here in Canada because some women involved had threesomes before. Legit some men, and people in general, will ignore accusations and blame the victim at the slightest opportunity.

I’ve noticed this seems to stem from a fear of being accused.

“Yeah I coerced her into sex but she asked for settlement money after!” Isn’t the flex you think it is…

What a bad time to be an Andrew

I hate when ppl bring up the “timing” of when and how victims speak up. Not only would I be pissed if my abuser was getting money and a platform making people believe they’re a good person but I’d want to let people know who they’re really supporting because he has a pattern and multiple victims. I don’t blame the first girl for asking for him to pay for her therapy

tbh i think Hasan spoke very well on this. what’s sad is that almost every girl has a story of a no turning into a yes they didn’t want to happen :/

Its the sheer level of accusations against him that convince me he has done it, also, the timing of these is not strange imho, that first girl coming out and speaking about it now and other victims speaking out about him after his success makes sense, if I was someone who was abused by a guy who was getting praise and suddenly being hailed as some sort of a hero... that would p*ss me the f*ck off and I'd wanna tell everyone what a creep they actually were. Hassan is right to support these women instead of his friend.

Ppl completely missing the fact that Andrew literally ADMITTED that was said was true. He said he did it, asking for money doesn’t magically change things when the accused admits it.

It’s so annoying that my bias towards Andrew is affecting my response. I need to keep the energy the same as I would with any abuser

I mean let's be real, if anyone is allowed to profit from a traumatic event it's the victim of said traumatic event, might have not been from the kindness of her heart but she still exposed a predator that is now in a high place of power and recognition

honestly i can't fault this woman asking him to pay for her therapy when she is seeing how much he is cashing in through the hbo deal. If i put myself in the position of having to deal with trauma financially and the person who inflicted it is making bank, it would feel like justice to me for them to pay me. wether that's the right way of going about it is a different discussion. what i am saying is, i can understand why someone would do what she did.

It’s sleazy that Andrew would even bring up that she requested he pay for some treatment given how blamed the victims in these situations are when he knows he did it. It’s like he’s trying to get people not to believe her or at least think maybe she deserved it or something even though it’s clearly true. The request for money to go to therapy is irrelevant and only mentioned to make himself look better even though it only makes it clear he has no desire to make any restitution whatsoever.

Man this is weird. It's my first parasocial relationship breakup. I hope the victims get their justice.

Two things can be wrong at the same time, and they can be wrong in varying degrees. If a victim does something wrong it doesn't change what the abuser did, and it also doesn't change the fact the abuser is way worse.

Asking Andrew to cover the therapy she needs to process what he did to her isn’t “asking for money.”🤦‍♂️ Having someone who enacted harm cover the healing services required for the person they harmed is standard practice in restorative justice.

If Andrew confirmed that these situations happened and went down as described, it is severely disappointing. I liked Andrew a lot and loved his work. I was super happy for him when he got this special in HBO. It seemed like it was his breakthrough to the mainstream. But if all of this is true, I can’t support him anymore. I do believe people can change but how do you make it up to someone after putting them through trauma?

What’s crazy to me is all the Tate fans on the other hand, blindly support him even after multiple women came forward and being detained by the Romanian government. It’s sickening. If someone I look up to is guilty of something serious such as SA, I refuse to blindly support them.
