As a Mexican American who was born in 70âs and grew up watching Good Times this is absolutely insulting! The show was about your struggles in the inner city yet having pride and dignity regardless where you were from or social status. Hollywood loves to reenforce stereotypes.

J J would be a successful famous artist, married to his high school sweetheart with 3 kids, 1 son, a bookworm, two daughters, one an artist and one a doctor. Michael would be the Mayor of Chicago, married, two sonsâŚone following in his footsteps, the other more into culinary arts. Thelma still married to her husband who became a football coach at a high school while Thelma went from being a teacher to a Superintendent of Chicago school district in order to improve the school system. They had two kids, a son and daughter. Son will aspire to be a football player like his dad while the daughter will strive to be in social services to serve her community. Both James and Florida will be proud. âŚ.all will have their own homes but will occasionally drive by their old neighborhood with fond memories of growing up in a simpler time and with such a loving familyâŚ.just saying
