In the first story the injured man should have been admitted into the hospital. Having that many head strikes could have caused a concussion, or worse a brain bleed (subdural hematoma). He needed to be woken up at least every 1 to 2 hours, just to make sure he wasn't loosing consciousness. The reason I am stating all of this is, people should not get use to thinking that getting multiple strikes on your head is no big deal. Because it is. I'm a former CT/MRI imaging technologist and have seen my share of this kind of brain injury. Also an untreated subdural hematoma can lower your IQ or even kill. Absolutely no reflection of this story is against Mort, who is a great narrator and storyteller.
