the reason i feel so comforted looking at stars is because it reminds me that it's okay to feel small and left behind sometimes, it doesn't make me any less important or beautiful. it just means i need more time to eventually find more pieces of myself that make me shine brighter and that's gonna form a pretty constellation! and i think that's pretty neat

yeah i mean for the "i dont dream of labor" thing - i always look to my mom. she has a mind-numbing, tedious job in IT that she's had for 10 years now, but having that job meant that she was able to provide for my brother and I without having to work 4 part-time jobs, and spend her free time doing what she wants to do. like she is a part of 5+ community gardens, volunteers for sierra club, organizes local environmental justice work, has been leading and currently leads a 80+ scout, girl scout troop - like she's kicking butt and doing what she loves to do! all of which is to say, your job doesn't determine you or your personality or what you want to do with your life and, especially as a freshie in college, i think about that a lot (also love you mom !! <333)
