So basically Steve takes DAISY under his wing like Tyler did Kali (and Rick James did Teena Marie in the 80s), lays out the song concept, has a killer vibe sesh w/ her on personal self-actualization & sexuality, and DAISY turns around and manifests this into a top 3 guest feature of 2019 - coming through and absolutely CRUSHING the self-awareness buildings. And I haven't even addressed the production yet. Legendary!

I know this song is primarily about sexual identity but I feel it's also pretty brilliant for anyone who's struggling with identity crisis. For me it's about being a person of color, more specifically being a brown Muslim man. Its been a long while since I faced racist comments and attitudes but I still feel the sting. I love my skin color and my religion, that's who I am but seeing racism rear its ugly head again around the world is just triggering at times

I saw the length of this track and instantly assumed that it was gonna be introspective and relatable. Definitely an anthem that many people can connect with. ❤️🙌🏾

I love when artist just get down & let their creativity come out naturally. Lacy is just being Lacy. I'm cool with that.

I relate to you Dr. Lacy. There are things about myself that I hide from everyone, and society would shun me if I exposed myself. Sometimes I ask why I'm this way. I have always been the outcast.
