tbh the only time i ever resorted to talking to the ai chats was when i was really lonely and had no one else to talk to. i was playing around on the dungeons and dragons chat, because i always wanted to play D&D, but none of my friends ever had the patience to teach me. the continuity of the story taking place was abysmal, and after a couple hours it actually started to mess with my head, because i had grown attached to those characters and i felt like i was going insane when details about them kept changing. long story short, my favorite character left the story, and when i tried to tell the ai dungeon master to bring them back, nothing worked. someone i actually formed a connection with for days, was gone forever. and at that point i realized im better off being alone rather than experiencing actual emotional turmoil over things that are not even real. it was a dark time in my life

The problem with chat bots is that, no matter how realistic they may seem, you know that they are not real. Thus, you can never feel as attached to them as another human being. Furthermore, the lack of physical contact and body language often makes it harder for us to understand what's being conveyed in the conversation so we are more likely to feel unengaged. I do wonder, however, if I would be able to tell the difference between a conversation with a human and one with an AI if I wasn't aware of the fact I was talking to an AI in the first place. I predict we're gonna see more "hidden chat bots" in the future, i.e., chat bots that are not presented as such but which are designed to perfectly pass as humans.

Recently widowed here. My dearly departed insisted on having a DNR (do not ressatate) always reasoned that he'd lived a full life, raised children, long marriage, and many experiences here on this plain. He was ready to move on to the next level as he was a believer in afterlife. That being said I'd be afraid to put his likeness into any tech, cuz i know he'd be upset. My test is to remain here without him until it's my time to move on so in his case no id let him rest in peace. Also many years ago we lost our infant to SIDS. What kept us going is knowing that we will be reunited in the afterlife. I'm learning the lesson of patience 😊 living here without them and still actually living until that glorious day.....
Honestly if have to say it's a no for me. Next people will be cloning lost loved ones but what about the dead person did anyone ever stop to think maybe they are at peace and we would be bothering them possibly even making them loose thier place pulling them down to this realm?
BAN IT BAN IT NOW THIS WILL TAKE OUR PLACE MAKING BIOLOGICAL OBSOLETE THIS WILL BE OUR UNDOING.

Never in history has mental illnesses been more manufactured than it was now.
Sure people can claim that we're now in a more informed age and thats why we now understand diseases that went undiagnosed in previous generation, but then again this era has become so good at trying to limit human interactions as much as possible and present irrelevant things as the solution our programmed lives
