47:13 "DNA testing haven't found Neanderthal genes in modern humans"
This video is old. Even older than the upload date.
Now it has already been proven that Neanderthal genes are found in modern humans. We also have a lot of useful Neanderthal genes. Like those that prevent skin feom UV damage.
And there were 2 instances of in-breeding, seperated by thousands of years apart.

there's a mistake i the video regarding the exit o africa, isn't it? it says neanderthals are descendats of homo erectus... actually not. homo hilderbergensis lefts africa ±400k yeas ago, and Neandertdals, denisovans in east asia and homo sapiens are deascendants of them. ersectus leaft africa much beforse but became extinct in asia, only some remains of homo forensis wew located in indonesia where they lived until 20k years ago

Ha ha, love to see the march of scientific progress but it makes documentaries like this just as extinct at the Neanderthals. This film is out of date now. All humans, except pure Africans, now have between 6-20% DNA from our former cousins. The novel HUMANS NEED THREE HANDS did a great treatment of these topics. This is still a fun documentary to watch though.

A Neanderthal tool, five times sharper than an a nowadays surgeon tool? Now, that's why Neanderthal people had larger brains than ours, among other very logical reasons: which one of us, modern Homo Sapiens-Sapiens subspecies, can survive more than one day with a flint-tipped spear and some stone carved-tools, in the Borneo jungle or in the Canadian, or Russian arctic forests? THINK! As for me, I have a HUGE RESPECT for my so-called "primitive" ancestors!
