I finally got diagnosed with ADHD this week after 3 decades of struggling to keep up with my peers and taking anti depressants that never seemed to help. The relief, validation and grief I feel right now is a LOT. But I've been listening to this on repeat and slowly realising that it's time to do things however slowly I need to and be kinder to myself. K. Flay is a great example why folks in my age group should keep their mind open to new and every genre of music( I'm 62). I would love to sit down and smoke several joints and have a nice long conversation with this very intelligent woman.

I'm glad this song came out when it did. I wouldn't have made it. Sleeping in my car, the clutch cable came undone.... Couldn't get it to work. It was raining and freezing cold. Shivering I said I'm going to listen to KFlay rather anyone wants me to or not... (Uhh just in my own imagination) then I did. And my whole world which was already upside-down flipped up right and I actually stopped thinking it was hopeless.... I started the engine, drive it under the awning to keep the rain out of my cracked windshield. Poor a blanket over me and went to bed. I at that moment was extremely happy that you where there with me in some sense.... Making sure I'd make it.
