Rewinding the biological clock: How to reverse ageing

Researchers claim to have reversed ageing in mice. It has long been believed that if we understand the causes of ageing, it may be possible to reverse it. New work on mice shows that it is possible to cure vision loss caused by old age or injury. Researchers think that this effect may depend on rewinding the ‘biological clock’ which marks the age of cells, suggesting that the cells in the eye have been made functionally younger.

This might be the most important area of research in the moment.

Remember not that many years ago it was a taboo to even suggest in a rigorous scientific publishing that aging might be reversible? Not any more.

We need more people working on this instead of being idiotic on TikTok.

Finally he published his preprint. And reviewers made them do glaucoma experiments. Peer-review is soooo bloody slow.

Such great information. What would we do without science. Thank you for sharing.

This discovery would be a gift to the world. Great minds would never grow old and would contribute infinite potential to life as we know it. Many who never had children can have a chance to experience it due to this miricale.

I hope this method is thoroughly tested and works, like any new method it needs a lot of review and testing. The human body is too complex to celebrate recent findings too early because there's too many things that could be going that might nullify the effect or worse, so tests need to be done over long timespans. But I'm very much looking forward not so much to living forever or much longer, but living young until a naturally old age death, that is more important in my view. Imagining my parents and grandparents being young with me would bring me enormous amount of joy.

This is an amazing, even scary somehow, achievement. Now, then, the meaning of aging is to be questioned!

We need to re-direct all our resources from solving age related diseases towards curing aging itself, as this has being shown to be a reality!
