I tested an early submission of Arkham Knight on PS4 for Sony. This was before some of the Rogues Gallery missions (I think Two Face and Penguin, it was 2015 so my memory is a little foggy) were fully complete. I remember my team absolutely HATING the tank sections at the start of the game. I never really minded them so much, even after launch. Sometimes the car chases got a bit annoying/frustrating but overall it addressed what I didn't like about Arkham City. Riddler trophies aside.
I think I made it about 3/4 of the way through the game on that early submission. At least until the point where you have to start tilting the zeppelin with the remote controller. The sequence was heavily broken in how everything moved when it tilted so it blocked any further progress. We're talking parts of the zeppelin clipping through other walls etc.
I like the focused design of Arkham Asylum, but I really thought that Arkham Knight delivered on everything I wanted out of a Batman game.

31:05 Slight correction: that isn't what convinces her, Batman has made that threat enough that she doesn't believe him. When he says that the toxin is going to kill her plants if it isn't stopped, she realises that he's right.

Arkham Knight is definitely the one game out of the series that I return to the least often. The hype was real for it but after beating the game, I had sort of Dark Knight Rises feelings from it where it's definitely not bad but not as good as its predecessors. Of course the usual complaints being the overuse of the batmobile, lack of boss battles, and some questionable writing decisions.
Last month I replayed the games and finally returned to Arkham Knight after maybe 5 years and I gotta say that I do appreciate it more. The issues I had with it remain but this time I had more fun and really like the emotions of the story. Batman loses control of his city and one by one he loses his friends to the Scarecrow who is a very intimidating antagonist

i have been an avid scarecrow lover for YEARS, and this has in my opinion a fantastic version of him. after his attack from killer croc in asylum he no longer is a researcher, a scientist looking for data on fear and how his toxin works. he only exists to create horror and hopelessness for everyone he can, and it’s actually terrifying. i’ve always said that scarecrow is one of the best batman villains, just under utilized and often characterized as a goofier villain (riddler gets the same treatment) but this game really nailed the terror that crane is capable of
