One of my favorite things that always happens with Youtuber "response videos" is when they inevitably make jokes about "wow, this loser made a 90min video pointing out how bad I am with sources and evidence. How cringe!" while they make a 120min video whining about the video.
Also, the gall of complaining about the length of research is buckwild. I'd love to see an academic dissertation saying" Wow, this other research was 130 pages, cringe. "

I understand why they would feel threatened by you. I started subscribing to you after watching the body language video thinking I would disagree. I watched the entire thing, and never watched a body language analysis video again.
You're right, your viewers don't overlap most likely. They cross over to you after being presented with the facts.

I love how Derek's reaction is just:
Him agreeing but making sure to exclude himself
Insulting the video/Munecat on a surface level
Making unfounded assumptions about Munecat based on a single video... can't imagine why a BODY LANGUAGE EXPERT would do such a thing...
I don't know, sounds pretty cringe to me.

You shouldn't really be at all surprised that an incredibly well-researched YouTube film of yours would be used by a professor. Dry academia is all well and good to these people. But they have the facility to tell when the same ideas are communicated in a way that is incredibly more interesting and exciting to watch usimg tropes from pop culture that they couldn't fathom: it's a dream come true. I mean, you shouldn't be surprised: it must feel really great anyway. You deserve it. I've already told you this but I've been sending your films to other academics to explain ideas they may not be familiar with. I love it!

When a dude is like "I haven't seen the video, but I have opinions [on it]" you know you're playing chess against a pigeon.
