20 Minute Challenge: Can I Learn Spotify's Top 10 Most Streamed Songs by Ear?

In this video I try and work out the top 10 most streamed songs on Spotify on the piano by ear in just 20 minutes. Being able to work out songs by ear is one of the most valuable skills you can have as a pianist, particularly as now it is so easy to be able to listen to music anytime and anywhere. I have done many videos in the past about how to learn songs by ear, but am I able to do it without actually being able to listen to a song all the way through?

You’re really amazing! 🤩 I’ve been playing classical piano for about 60 yrs, ok with theory; unfortunately I’m a visual pianist, a few years ago embarked on play by ear, it’s challenging. Recently saw your HIGH QUALITY videos, v helpful, hope my learning can speed up 😂 Keep up your great work 💪

I've been learning sheet music daily for the past 5 months, and I'm finally starting to find the fun in it all. But I've also been thinking about starting on some ear training, and this is the video that finally convinced me to do it. It just seems like such a cool super power, and explaining your process made it seem just that little bit more obtainable than some other channels I watch.

Thanks brother. Your videos have inspired me to learn piano, guitar and music theory. I know that I will be able to do this in a few years. I can already figure out a melody. Can’t wait until I can do this. Awesome.

Love these kinds of videos. Maybe consider putting a physical timer so that people know that this wasn’t edited over a longer time period than you specified. Fantastic job on the video 👌🔥

Can you please please do a tutorial, if you know the melody and want to play a song by ear and know the chords what you do or can do with the left hand. What patterns do you use? And when to use what patterns and why. I so much would appreciate that 🎹💖💖

Your content is just amazing! I found you just by scrolling through the start page of YouTube. I watched this video in one piece and was stunned all the way! Your playing skills are just amazing! I started learning the piano when I was 8 (7 years now, I started really late) and I've always been fascinated by my music and I love the piano. However I think I really began learning just one and a half year ago, because I couldn't deal with my old piano teacher. So I changed and since then it works fine! I cannot live without the piano. When you play the piano, there is no real "goal". You can set your own goals to improve, learn faster and of course stay motivated. And I've just found my motivation in you. When you play, there is something that is amazing. I'm not really sure, what it is. Not only your facial expressions but also your love to the detail in every single note is very impressive. I can see, that you enjoy this and love playing. This motivates me really! I want to keep not only practicing, but playing the piano and put even more energy in it. Thank you really much! Btw I just subscribed after only watching one video of you, because I enjoyed it and I'm sure, the other videos will amaze me too... One of my favourites. I'll definitely recommend it to my friends! I'm sorry if my Englisch is not the best, but I tried my best :) I'm German
