In 2013 there was another recurring daydream I often had that really stuck with me - I still think about it pretty often. In the dream, I would be standing in the middle of a vast expanse with my girlfriend at the time, while she stared into my eyes with this loving, peaceful gaze. The dream always started in such a nice way, but there would always be this heart-dropping moment where she would put her hand on my cheek, and I would suddenly squint my eyes and realize that she was very slowly becoming transparent. As I watched in horror, little particles of her would start floating off into the wind, and her skin would seem to ripple. As she faded more and more, her eyes always grew wide and a bright white light would start to shine out of them. The hairs on the back of my neck stand on end just thinking about it now. In the dream, I always started grasping at her, trying to hold her with me, but my hands would just phase right through her body.
All the while, there was this look of transcendence and peace on her face. It gave me a very peculiar feeling - it wasn't just that she was being taken away from me, it was that she was... conceding to it. She was willingly going along with it; like she had caught a glimpse of something far beyond me and she was transcending - moving on to something much larger. It gave me this interesting mix of sadness and resignation, but also peace and tranquility. The day I wrote this song, I woke up with that feeling thick on my mind, and I knew I had to get it out.

OMG!!!!!! I was just casually listening to this song and at about 4:18, something he was saying in the background sounded so familiar. I listened really closely and it was the chorus from "Swimming in the Flood". At first I couldn't quite make it out as it was distorted a bit. From 4:18 and beyond, you can hear him saying "saw you swimming in the flood". Mind BLOWN

Crywolf, your songs helped me in the darkest of times, when I needed something to keep me going, your lyrics and amazing instrumental would help me. Especially songs like Whisper ft Emalyn and Eyes Half Closed, I could relate to those things infintely, and this is... this is amazing, dude.
Keep it up. I know it might not look like it but so many people love your music and cry over the stuff you produce because they can relate with it, they associate your work with stuff that's so deep and touching, like life and death, someone's funeral, missing someone who's gone from this world. Your art, sir, is infinitely beautiful, and I respect you as much.

Crywolf, I came back to revisit this song as it leaves very haunting memories every time; it was tremendously impactful to me during horrific times. My mom committed suicide back in early 2017, around the time of this being released.. and hearing this fucking song after everything went down.. I cannot describe the feelings that were invoked inside me. Your music truly saved me during a rough patch in my life, so after all these years.. I finally have to say thank you. Thank you for being the light in the darkness.
