i love how the sound you programmed on the JX-8P is called "juno pluck", like you're trying to get a juno sound on the JX-8P, but then on the jupiter X you're trying to recreate that sound, so you're trying to use the jupiter X to emulate a JX-8P that's trying to emulate a juno, it's just emulations all the way down lmao. great video, love this, love the JX, and i'm getting really interested in the jupiter X now

Thank you for taking the time to explain this patch. I don't own either of those synths but was able to get very close to that sound on two of my synths just from the explanation of the base settings you gave here. The only Roland I have atm is a DS88, and it can get surprisingly close to that sound on it. Recreating this sound on a Hydrasynth is a bit different, to say the least. But I manages to get very close on it as well. I have not tried it on my Wavestate yet. One thing I have noticed over the years is that nothing is ever linear between different synths, and that is a good thing. If they were linear, they would sound far to similar.... Again, thank you for explaining how you made your patch, and how to transfer it to other synths. Thank you for the Zen core patch as well.

I Like how you're using both old and new gear and you're not stricktly 'analog only'. I would love to see some "get it all from one machine" vlogs. Like making a whole composition on a Roland D50 or something.
Another thing I would really like is some insights on how you keep you're instrumental music interesting without using vocals. You're one of the rare instrumental musicians I listen to for a whole album.

Great to see just what is possible with the ZEN-Core system. A lot of people bash Roland for not doing analog, citing a certain company cloning various analog synths as 'what people want'. In my mind, Roland are proving that getting stuck in the mindset of the past is not why they are here today. This is epic technology! Not only that, the Jupiter X looks gorgeous. Excellent patch programming skills Kebu, hope you'll integrerate the Jupiter X into your live rig - sponsored or not (I saw you at Superbooth in 2019).

Kebu. I discovered you a few years ago on YouTube and absolutely love your music and use of analogue synths. These tutorials have been a great insight as to how it's all done. Recently brought you dvd of your performance in Oslo. Epic. Keep up the amazing work
