The fact that this song only has two lyrics makes me think that the person singing this is tired from fighting for a relationship that their partner isn't committed to. Knowing that this is a prelude from "If I ever come back" which depicts an unsure and commitment issues singer, the singer to this song is tired from the mixed signals, is tired from fighting for something that doesn't even seem to have a very promising future. Their relationship is in an unsteady stage, I believe that everything led to this point because of lack of communication, they weren't transparent with how they view and envision their relationship to be. Perhaps they wanted different things, and sadly even if they did love each other, having different visions is what causes the downfall of a relationship. And that my friends is how I relate my story to the two songs "I gave my heart" and "If I ever come back". Our story sadly wasn't a happy ending... Tired from the mixed signals, tired because of your uncommitted self, I was ready for it all, I just wanted the truth from you, a simple explanation would've been enough. I was nothing but vocal and honest, I was ready to gamble but now you have me questioning if it was all worth it... You'll always have a special place in my heart, and you already know how much I appreciate you. 🥀
