“I don’t like new guitars, but out of the box, this is absolutely perfect. All the stuff on a new guitar that I always have to try to fix, is already done here. Out of the box. Thank you, Paul.” – Joe Walsh

The McCarty family of guitars is born from passion and precision: built passionately to embody vintage soul and appointments while utilizing the precision of PRS’s modern manufacturing techniques, so you can have the best guitar we can make right out of the box. Featuring a bound, 22-fret, 24.594” scale length Pattern Vintage neck and a slightly thicker back for enhanced tone and sustain, the McCarty 594 Singlecut has been meticulously spec’d. This Joe Walsh Limited Edition builds on these specifications, adding a Brazilian rosewood fretboard with stainless steel frets to deliver incredible playability and soulful, vintage tone. Additional personalized appointments include Paul Reed Smith’s handwritten signature on the front of the headstock, and Joe Walsh’s signature on the backplate of each guitar.

The McCarty 594 Singlecut Joe Walsh Limited Edition features PRS 58/15 LT+ pickups, which offer exceptional clarity, focused midrange, and vintage character. Whether you are looking for rich, authentic humbucking tones or nuanced, sweet single-coil sounds, the McCarty 594 Singlecut can seamlessly master both sonic territories thanks to these pickups and push/pull coil taps on the tone controls. This electronics layout, a few key specifications, and PRS craftsmanship combine in the McCarty 594 Singlecut Joe Walsh Limited Edition to create an instrument that plays in tune, is intonated the entire length of the neck, and feels like a guitar that you’ve been playing forever.

“Joe’s endorsement of the McCarty 594 Singlecut Joe Walsh Limited Edition means the world to me. We work very hard to keep pushing the guitar-making craft forward without losing sight of its rich history. The McCarty models have always embodied that, and to have a player like Joe Walsh say we’ve nailed it is heartwarming,” said Paul Reed Smith.

Joe might sound like Adam Sandler doing an impression of Joe Walsh, but still plays like vintage Joe Walsh <3

This is crazy, I never knew I was just like Joe Walsh. I also go to guitar stores and stare at guitars thinking "this is the one". There's the minor difference that Joe takes the guitar home but I suddenly realise I'm dirt poor and go cry in my car.

If Joe says it's perfect, IT IS perfect. Much love and respect to Joe.

I could just imagine how that telephone conversation went.... Joe - this guitar is perfect. Paul - say what? Don't you want to tear it down? Start from scratch? Paint it a different color at least? Joe - No. Paul cries, this is getting way too easy.

The tension I'm experiencing watching Joe trying to speak reminds me of some of the best horror movies I've seen.

Obviously Joe has tons of cred, but he has more 'signature' guitars from different makers than almost anyone else.
