It's essential for every citizen to acknowledge them as our ancestors even if not as gods. Our history extends far beyond the past 1000 years often discussed; we mustn't overlook the deeper roots of our culture. The British influence persists today, evident in how we sometimes only wear traditional clothing on specific occasions, while English has become prevalent in our daily conversations despite the richness of our native languages. English is important globally, but within India, preserving and promoting our diverse linguistic heritage should be prioritized.
