I’ve binge watched every single episode for the past few weeks. Sophie is the best surprise I’ve had in years. I’d never belly laughed at a podcast until I found nearly/newly weds. I even show my husband parts 🤣 Jamie’s questions that he asked Sophie produced epic answers. Please keep the laughs coming guys. You really help a girl out.
*my wedding disaster story. We had 5 weeks to plan. During the virus. Over Christmas and new year. No one was catering, doing make up, hair. I had to buy the first dress I saw and get an aunt to sew me in it. My grandad had an ‘accident’, in both ways. He pooped AND fell over. I had HUMAN POO ON MY ARM while I was stood in my wedding dress. My Mum still thinks it’s the funniest thing ever. I just looked at him and said ‘Grandad! You’ve just poo’d on me ON MY WEDDING DAY!’. And he replied.. MUCK FOR LUCK 💀 The town was shut so I had to run, in the rain, through Liverpool. People thought I was a runaway bride. My legs were soaked and mud splashed. I left my family in the dust. We were only allowed 6 guests. That caused family fall outs. I got there 2 hours late. Garden party afterwards because of the virus. Disaster. Beginning of Jan. Ice on the floor. Storm the night before. Gazebos destroyed. Don’t get me wrong, it was a wreck from start to finish with only a few iPhone photos to look back on, but we really did make it a great day. Everything went wrong but it actually never mattered at the time. We were laughing along with the people we love and everyone has a story to tell 🤣 it was memorable at least.

I'm sure you've had many reports of others going through similar but the loss of libido happened to one of my ex's after a traumatic experience. I thought it was me. It wasn't. It was the stress of the situation he was under, he was having anxiety and the effects of that affected his sex drive. Apparently, stress hormones override other hormones required for sex drive. It turned into a psychological problem for him because he got really concerned about it and it almost turned into performance anxiety where he was so concerned about it that it affected his ability which turned into a vicious cycle. With time, reassurance and understanding, it disappeared probably not entirely. I'm sure he gets nervous about it before sex most times but it did stop. So maybe with you doing the EDMR that's resurfacing trauma and your hormones might be affected as a result, affecting your sex drive. He got told to treat it like a wound... A mental wound that needed time to heal. I love Sophie and hopefully she's joking with you and is actually supportive in private but it is a very real problem for men and it needs understanding and support ❤️
