The Queensland Liberal National Party has backed Labor’s emission reduction targets, which is a plan to cut 75 per cent of greenhouse emissions by 2035.
Nationals leader David Littleproud has slammed his Queensland colleagues, warning the targets are “reckless” and “unachievable”.
“I want to see, by the way, a Coalition government federally with some Libertarians in there at the next election, and I was hoping to see David Crisafulli as well,” Mr Newman told Sky News host Steve Price.
“But with this sort of insanity, and that’s not what I’m just calling it, that’s what federal LNP members of parliament are calling this.”
Mr Newman called out the “arrogant display from people who think they’ve got the state election in the bag”.

Crisafulli has lost my vote. I'll be voting One Nation. With two Labor parties Pauline Hansen is the only way to vote.
