Still hate how underwhelming Tsunade's finisher is in the sequels. She's done insane things in the manga, such as literally holding herself together after getting split in half. She deserved more. (At least Storm 3 gave her a cool battle alongside the other Kages vs Madara.)

What I loved about storm 1 was that the Ultimate Jutsu's weren't telegraphed so outrageously that it was easy to avoid them all. Like the whole pause the screen, make it dark, and do this 1 second animation before hitting the jutsu, I mean who really is gonna fall for that? In storm 1 you just got the animation without breaking up gameplay. Meant you had to pay attention to what was happening.

For me Storm 1 will remain the most Unique one from the series, my reasons: Intro of characters before the encounter, unique jutsus that didn't came back to the other Storm games, longer and diverse movesets for almost any character, Awakenings in Storm 1 have also Ultimate Jutsus, Jutsus Clashes and Wall Fighting... and I can go on and on to state it why Storm 1 gameplay was the most unique one from the Storm Series, just try to Imagine Storm 4 gameplay with Storm 1 gameplay features, In my opinion that will be the Perfect Storm game. I wish that Storm 5 will have more anime vibe and dynamic details like Storm 1.β―οΈβ

Such an waste the fact that they cut edited literally ALL of the ultimates. I'm not really bothered by that, but I think they should've maintened the Storm 1 combos... They trashed them with short combos so much. (Removing the left/right combos we're a bad choice too, now the game bores fast with only 5 possible combos by character. Miss the Ultimate Ninja days :v)

The music, the camera angles, all of the sounds of hits and Jutsu being bass boosted, and the slight pause on the victories/devastating endings. Storm 1 did the ultimates WAY better than all the other games imo, which sucks because the storm 4 is more up to date and have all the cool characters and Justus. Imagine if Cyberconnect didnt worry about stupid online competive BS and just did the ultimates like they used to... but that ship has sailed πππ

The two don't look that much different from each other due to basically being the same game. Storm 1 was more ambitious and impressive for its time, visually at least. I remember being blown away by those graphics and playing the demo repeatedly on my PS3.
Storm 1 is the cooler game lowkey. π

On PS3 Storm 1 still the best Naruto game for the gameplay and well crafted ultimates with full unique OST during ults, interations with enviroment and animations... don't forget about the unique intros, outros too and all the cool mini games from inspiration of PS2 era. I really hope Storm 5 make a come back with all Storm 1 elements back, including Jutsus Clashes, Wall Running and very unique ninja animations making the player and enviroment feeling like a true Naruto ninja battle and adventure game. The jump to PS2 to PS3 was so huge, the jump to PS3 for PS4 wasn't.

Great video. I'm not to surprised they sped up some of the older specials with cut out lines when trying to make them from the first game to the 4th game.

it's always a debate when something has to be more dynamic or more cinematic
some might prefer longer and detailed, others shorter and "simple"
at least the Team Ultimates are great if ya' look for the "stylish" part
