My biggest struggle with art is that I lose patience easily, and that leads to me being dissatisfied with my art and staying away, but now I want to be better and see what I can create. Thank you for this video! And what a beautiful illustration!!

I've subscribed after this 1 video, I'm 52 this year and I'm not sure how old you are but I'm so very thankful for your advice! I too had crappy art professors that I still think of their criticisms but I've only started to see it was never worth holding on to those comments for sooooo long! By watching younger artists have better advice and amazing insights like yours it makes me feel so much better. Thanks 🤗🤩

I would love to see your old sketchbooks! I think there is nothing better than honesty, and even if you start drawing as an adult, you can still improve so much. I know some people are stressed about "drawing as a 10-year-old kid," but from my experience: it's never too late to start.

This was so good! I needed to see this. I’ve been out of art for more than 10 years because of my own lack of confidence, I kept it hidden and was picked on somewhat for my style and abandoned it. I’ve regretted it for years. I just recently started up again and I’m so excited, admittedly I am a bit rusty but it feels good and I feel like if I get back to basics I can regain that muscle memory.

Honestly I’m very surprised by the amount of views, because you deserve much more
Also, your situation of stopping doing art for 2 years really resonated with me as I’ve did go through this. Getting back on track always isn’t easy and I wish you the best on your newfound journey
Btw your illustrations are really pretty!

Hey there I just recently found your social media and was really captured by your art style.
Seeing this video not only makes me appreciate your work even more I also wanted you to know how great the production value of this video is - I really enjoyed the visual language as well as your voiceover as many of your thoughts resonate with me at the moment. I am trying to find the joy in creating again and not only using this skill as something to please others…
I will be looking forward to new content and if your comfortable with it some old sketchbook tours :D

my biggest struggle is finding references. I feel overwhelmed by the what to look for, stuff that comes up, and I'll just end up giving up

Thank you for sharing the struggles and breakthroughs as an artist. It’s always nice to take a step back once in a while to be kind to yourself, sharing your gift of creating is something worthwhile so always keep going. ❤

I've been on an 8 year break from actually creating anything. This channel was my destiny to find. Thanks for posting your art and sharing your experiences in your videos. I hope you are able to remain inspired! ❤

This is one of the most helpful videos that pushed me to the true knowledge of my abilities, love for my own art for a long period of frustration. For the last 6 months, I have been feeling that I will never be able to illustrate topics or concepts that are important to me, whether it be a world with a variety of characters and its different aspects, like plot, philosophy. I was really very impatient with my work, relying only on generating pictures and not approaching them with great trepidation. Probably, this is the reason why I cannot boast of a large number of completed artworks — I will choose only 4 from all unsuccessful attempts... But your video finally motivated me to approach the work with great awe, making development my main goal. Thank you.

You literally put every of my creative struggle and even the solution was soo simple. As a workoholic when I don't do something i feel like trash and u pointed that out and said to be kind, I mean this video made my whole day better !! Thank you soo much ❤

Damn that teacher.

It's bad enough to get ''You're just not creative'' flung at your head, it will make it ten times worse if the person has self esteem issues.

Excellent video.
I stopped making art for almost 10 years. But was as advanced as one might be w/o the internet or art school. I started at 3 years old. It was like living without some critical part of myself.
I’m back at it. But I’m so my much older than you and you are sooo bright. Thanks for the the video.
