Knights of honor 2 is a great remake, changes it up a fair bit too. If you haven’t played it already I really recommend it.

3:42 - I'll never forget the first time I was with the ERE, had a lot of work to reform Rome, and conquered all the necessary provinces/territories to actually reform it (or was very close to it). My "king" (emperor) died and ALL, not just a few... ALL of the provinces were fragmented. I lost EVERYTHING. Stayed only with Byzantium. lol Speak about punishing.
