The 4 Land of the lustrous character fit each song perfectly. if you read the manga or have seen the anime you'll understand. Allow me to explain why. Each land of the Lustrous character's personality and characteristics are based on Minerals and Gems. the 4 characters you see here from left to right are Phos, Diamond, Cinnabar, and Bort. (PHOS) While being the youngest, Phos is cheerful and playful and often tends to get in the way of the other Gems. he is also considered one of the most weakest and delicate Gems, often breaking and shattering in most situations. As the story progresses (without spoiling too much). Phos's body and mostly his personality would change and evolve to a point that he is somewhat a totally different person. Phos would embrace his new forms and would gradually Forget the person HE USED TO BE, and his original Cheerful self would fade away LIKE A MEMORY. (DIAMOND) Being the embodiment of a Diamond. he is often considered by the other Gems as blindly beautiful and one of the strongest and the most generous out of the gems. even with all the positivity and kindness, he gives. he often Compares himself with BORT (who is also a Diamond) and has a somewhat have a Love n Hate Relationship towards him. being with Bort most of the time, he is not a big fan of being separated from him. when he is, he tends to feel Jealous and ALONE. even though he is fully aware that he is NOT ALONE. when he is with Bort, he is somewhat Content or at peace and tends to try to Prove to Bort that he is a worthy partner to be with and Rely on. even with Bort's disagreement and backlash. Diamond is At LEAST happy to be TOGETHER with Borts. (CINNABAR) Cinnabar trends to lurk around at NIGHT and live in Cave near shore during the day. unlike the other Gem that Requires LIGHT to function to their full potential. Cinnabar doesn't NEED THE LIGHT to Function properly at night. Feeling as if he doesn't fit in, he often feels somewhat Disconnected with the other Gems and tends to be alone most of the time. even with all the negativity and loneliness, he projects. Cinnabar is far too wise and too kind to be alone. Phos, being positive and optimistic (that he used to be), promises Cinnabar that he will help him find a purpose and make him feel happier and not be lonely again. (BORT) Being a diamond himself he is also considered by the Gems as one strongest. Unlike Diamond (the character) he is Stoic, Strict, and tends to leave a Sour impression on the other Gems. Bort is a calm yet ruthless warrior in battle and would IGNITE against enemy threats. for his partner diamonds, he feels somewhat responsible for his actions and often tends to scold Diamond for his recklessness in battle. though he does care about Diamond and the other Gems, his Will to be strong and to protect them overshadows those feelings as if it will only hold him back. Despite his harsh personality, Bort does have a softer side, in rare moments displaying a sense of humor and a reluctance to hit cute things.
