*The winter solstice has its roots in many cultures around the world, countless myths, religions as evidenced by the Mayan pyramid of the feathered serpent,
the Egyptian Temple of Karnak, the Glastonbury Tor and Stonehenge in the UK and other incredible ancient sites.
With incredible precision, megalithic stones, mounds and other materials used to build temples, grounds and sacred spaces,
all lined up on the winter solstice paying homage to a cosmic event - the return of the Sun.
At this time of year, the light and strength of the sun are reborn
and begin their journey gradually seeming to approach the Earth with more light and warmth, until its fullness at the summer solstice.
This timeless celebration at its origins
represents spiritual birth through the winter sunrise.
