In this video we discuss whether the "Great Tribulation" of Matthew 24 is something that has already happened or will it happen sometime in the future.

In order for a theology to be correct it has to agree wth the whole Bible not just one particular passage. There is a principle in the bible called the principle of the first and second fulfillment for example Peter says on the day of Pentecost concerning the pouring out of the Spirit "this is that" but this was not the complete fulfillment as Joel 2:28-31 points out. It is true that the destruction of Jerusalem was partially fulfilled in 70 AD but Zechariah 14:1-4 tells us that this is going to happen again and it wont be just Rome but "all nations" that will attack Jerusalem and this is in conjunction with the second coming as the context shows In order to understand what Jesus meant by the Abomination of desolation we must go back to Daniel 11. In Daniel 11 we are able to identify in the past what Jesus said would be accomplished again in the future. In Daniel 11:31, we see the Syrian king of the Selucid Dynasty forcing idol worship on the Jews. His name is Antiocus Epiphinies. With the help of some apostate Jew's he caused the sacrifice to cease and sacrifices a pig on the alter and dedicates the temple to the idol Zeus. What Jesus was saying is that this is going to happen again in the future. In other words Jesus was saying that in the future there will be another man who does precisely the same thing as Antiocus did? He forced idol worship on the Jew's and if they refused they were put to death. The horrible things he did to the Jew's is recorded in the Maccabees and other historical writers of the time. Now when we consider what happened in 70 AD it was quite a different situation. The Roman's were quite content to let the Jew's do their religious thing just as long as they didn't stir up any trouble. Remember this is the problem they had with Jesus They were afraid Jesus would cause an uprising and then the Roman's would come and "take away their place" The reason for the crushing of Jerusalem is because for many years prior to this event there were hostile, militant groups who thought to through off the Roman yoke once for all. Josephus was actually the head of the Jewish force at this time. This revolt started around 66 AD and for ten years these hostile Jew's tried to force Rome out of Jerusalem and to regain their independent rule back. The truth is that the Roman's were sick and tired of these Jewish insurrections against Rome, and so after ten years of fighting thy finally put it down for good. Brother what happened in 70 AD is not the Abomination of Desolation of which Jesus spoke of. The Abomination of which Jesus spoke of as recorded in Daniel will again involve a man forcing idolatry on the world. This will happen as Saint Paul says in !! Thessalonians when "the man of sin is revealed who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God showing himself that he is God". This same truth is repeated in Rev. 13:15 "And he {ie antichrist} had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak; and cause that as many that would not worship the image of the beast should be killed". Brother these things have not happened yet and there is no amount of symbolism that can be legitimately attached to these verses to rob them of there literal meaning. You may try to comfort yourself by explaining these texts away as historical, but soon and very soon you will see your eschatology come crashing down in front of you. If we are going to be true to scripture we must not attach symbolism to a text unless it is perfectly obvious the the context demands it, and trying to justify these plain scriptural pronouncements of fact by Paul and John in comparing them with hyperbole is simply improper Biblical hermeneutics. Biblical texts like "the land of milk and honey" should never be used as justification for symbolizing plain statements of fact. If we are doing this we are making the scriptures of none effect. This is why Jesus condemned the Pharisees because they sought to stretch and bend the divine pronouncements of God to suit their own fancies. When a person plays a piece of music and adds to the original piece we call this improvising, this may be all well and good when it comes to music but it is absolutely forbidden when it comes to scripture Deut 12:32. My name is Tony if you wish to respond back. . .

There are other channels teaching that Jesus came back in that generation. One is Mudflood was Armageddon, and the other is Toadhouse7 Homestead. Toadhouse7 has "It is written" videos that go over 100+ verses that show that the second coming and the tribulation was for that generation.

Preterism has a host of problems. First the only reference to 70 AD in Matt 24 is vs 2. That’s it. Otherwise, you have to believe vs 6-7 is talking about the mighty Roman Empire in a war with a lowly vassal state i.e., the Jews. You have to believe that “kingdom against kingdom” is singular as in one kingdom against one “kingdom”. Continuing Jesus warns repeatedly about false prophets and false Christs arising in verses 4-5 and 11. Preterists will claim that this happened, but in vs 24 Jesus warns of these false Christs performing great signs and wonders, which nobody can claim happened. After all this sounds a lot like Rev 13:13. I notice the elephant in the room was missed. Jesus return in Matt 24:29-31 wasn’t discussed. Preterist has to relegate the climactic event of Matt 24 to an invisible spiritual event. Now Luke. Luke 21 is a different animal from Matthew 24. In Luke we start with future events and then pivot to 70 AD events at verse 12 (but before all this). Later at verse 24 we see the sweep of the church age in one verse till the “times of the Gentiles are fulfilled” i.e., back to the future. How this happened we don’t know but its obvious from Luke 17 that Jesus talked about this more than once just not as comprehensively as he did during the Olivet Discourse. Finally, why the specific references to people in Judah and Jerusalem in Matt 24 if this is future? Well because the final battle will be around Jerusalem. See Zech 12.

In Truth and in Spirit Psalms 119:151 Thou art near, O LORD; and all thy commandments are truth. John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. So to worship in Spirit and in Truth is to obey Deut. 6:8-9, and "put on Jesus". The voice of our LORD and GOD. The Ten Commandments and the Sermon on the Mount. He has come to gather His children. He comes as The Word. Psalms 40:7 Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me, Hebrews 10:7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God. Do you know your Father's voice? Trust in The Word.

Incorrect. The false translations say end of the age. The real translation the KJV says the end of the world. It's impossible for it to be fully fulfilled in 70ad because the text says there will never be tribulation like it again and history proves there has been worse tribulations after it with way more people killed and destruction, the Catholic church's tyrannical reign was way worse than 70 ad. P His disciples asked him more than one question and this is where people get it wrong, because they make into one long question when it's actually 3 separate questions. Jesus didn't come back and they asked him about his coming , they also asked him when will these things be AND what will be the sign of your coming AND the the end of the world (not age). Since Jesus Christ didn't come back it is 100 percent proof it's not talking about 70ad and there is no getting around this unless you make up some nonsense to say he did come back.
