I "discovered" Charlie after he had already released two albums; now a third is on the table. I've always enjoyed most kinds of music, but had been a fan of Pop music all along. Think The Bee Gees (especially their Warner albums), The Monkees, The Mamas & The Papas, Michael Jackson, Hall & Oates, Doobies with Michael McDonnald, Probably 1/3 of all releases are Pop, somehow it got a bad name after Disco went big, I never stopped loving it and now I hear it in grocery stores, commercials, and the original releases are finding a new audience. Charlie is such an artist. I love his catchy, over-produced records; they sound so good on your stress of any price. As other people mentioned, his voice is maturing and he's singing in a lower vocal range. Pop is a lot more difficult to write, sing & perform than people think. People who bad mouth Pop are not listening close enough. These Today Show's songs are remarkable in that he had never performed live before; yet most of the audience, men & women, know the words already. It's unfortunate that his first album has never been reprinted and the vinyl version sells for over $300 on Ebay. Well, I wish him more continued success and a long career. I enjoy his craft and output greatly. Mr. Puth, thank you for getting me up off my couch at age 66 to dance, even if I'm alone. It's wonderful to feel so inspired. Steven Pettinga, Indianapolis.
